Part 15. What does the Bible say about Homosexuality?
The Bible does not speak of homosexuality very often. But when it does, it absolutely CONDEMNS it as a sin! Homosexuality is an abomination to Almighty God.
Leviticus 18:22-24 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: (KJV)
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (KJV)
1 Cor.6:9-10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 1:26-27 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 1 Timothy 1:8-11 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. Homosexuality is clearly condemned in the Bible. It opposes God’s created order when He made Adam and Eve, a man and a woman, to carry out His command to fill and subdue the earth (Genesis 1:28).
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (KJV) . . . Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth . . . HOW can two of the same sex multiply? Homosexuality CANNOT carry out that command. And too, homosexuality opposes the basic family of husband and wife which is the God-ordained way of reproduction.
Homosexuality is a sin and all sin has a heavy judgment ordered by God Himself upon those who commit it and support it. I believe that the Holy Spirit strives to warn people to turn from sin (ANY SIN), but when they keep on keeping on in their sin, God “gives them up” (Rom.1:24,26,28), and when God gives up on a person, they can no longer see what they do is wrong, they will not seek forgiveness, and they will not repent. They will then die in their sins and face God’s righteous wrath and condemnation. God is not willing that any should perish in Hell (2 Peter 3:9), and TRUE Christians do not want that either.
The Bible is NOT politically correct!
The Bible’s view of homosexuality is not politically correct. I believe that this is a matter of great concern. I believe that the Holy Word of God . . . the Bible . . . is well on its way to being considered hate speech by the immoral majority. With each passing day, more and more are going along with wickedness of this world being urged on by the “prince of this world” . . . the devil (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; Eph.2:2). Even supposed evangelicals are now saying homosexuality is OK. There is SO much social pressure being put on people to accept homosexuality as normal and healthy. Homosexuality is promoted in movies, TV, magazines, schools, and supposed “Christian” churches!
TRUE Christians are constantly portrayed as bigots, extremists, narrow-minded fools, hypocrites, Jesus’ freaks and worse. There is little or NO acceptance and/or fairness from anyone who disagrees with them.
Society is slowly being set up to accept progressive sexual behavior and condemning and silencing anyone who disagrees. Being that conduct follows belief, what is there to stop the increasingly liberal, open-minded society from their acting on its silence the opposition . . . and becoming more and more unforgiving in its dealings with TRUE Christians? NOTHING. There are mounting calls to get Christians removed from social networks because they speak out against homosexual marriage. The vast majority want to silence the Christians! In workplaces, many Bible believers are told to go through sensitivity training in favor of the LGBT community even though such “sensitivity training” is highly offensive to them. If they refuse to go, they can be fired. It seems that compassion and sensitivity must be shown towards homosexuals but NEVER towards Christians. This hypocritical, double standard is blatant, deliberate and dangerous!
And what about the lawsuits? They are increasing day by day! It seems that homosexuals attend church, just to ask the pastor to perform a wedding, and then when they are refused, they sue. They seek out Christian owned businesses and ask to have a cake baked, a wedding photographed, or music played at their homosexual wedding and then file a lawsuit when Christians who hold to their religious convictions refuse to submit. It is already happening, and such legal attacks against Christians are on the increase.
As you consider this, look at history to see what politically correct force can do in and to a society. Think of Nazi Germany and the Jews or communist Russia and its persecution of dissenters in the 1900s. History is full of examples of how those in politically correct power oppress those who do NOT agree with them.
