1. Aaron- the first high priest of the Israelites, brother of Moses (Exodus 4:14)
2. Abednego- one of Daniel’s three companions who, together with Shadrach and Meshach, was miraculously saved from destruction in Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace (Daniel 3:12–30)
3. Abel- the second son of Adam and Eve, a shepherd, murdered by his brother Cain (Genesis 4:1–8)
4. Abigail- the woman who brought provisions to David and his followers and subsequently became his wife (I Samuel 25:1–42)
5. Abraham- the first of the patriarchs, the father of Isaac and the founder of the Hebrew people (Genesis 11–25) Great man of God!
6. Absalom- the third son of David, who rebelled against his father and was eventually killed by Joab (II Samuel 15–18)
7. Achitophel- member of David’s council, who became one of Absalom’s advisers in his rebellion and hanged himself when his advice was overruled

8. Ahab- the king of Israel from approximately 869 to 850 bc and husband of Jezebel: rebuked by Elijah (I Kings 16:29–22:40)
9. Ahasuerusa- king of ancient Persia and husband of Esther.
10. Andrew- one of the twelve apostles; brother of Simon Peter.
11. Asher- the son of Jacob and ancestor of one of the 12 tribes of Israel
12. Balaam- had a surprise from a donkey! {Numbers 22:28}
13. Balthazar- (in Christian tradition) one of the Magi, the others being Caspar and Melchior.
14. Barabbas- a condemned robber who was released at the Passover instead of Jesus (Matthew 27:16)
15. Bartholomew- one of the twelve apostles (Matthew 10:3).
16. Baruch- a disciple of Jeremiah (Jeremiah 32–36)
17. Bathsheba- the wife of Uriah, who committed adultery with David and later married him and became the mother of his son Solomon (II Samuel 11–12).
18. Belshazzar- referred to as king and son of Nebuchadnezzar in the Old Testament (Daniel 5:1, 17; 8:1).
19. Benjamin- the youngest of Jacob and Rachel (Genesis 35:16–18; 42:4)
20. Boanerges- a nickname applied by Jesus to James and John in Mark 3:17.
21. Boaz- a kinsman of Naomi, who married her daughter-in-law Ruth (Ruth 2–4); She became the Great-Grandmother of King David.
22. Caiaphas- the high priest at the beginning of John the Baptist’s preaching and during the trial of Jesus (Luke 3:2; Matthew 26).
23. Caspar- (in Christian tradition) one of the Magi, the other two being Melchior and Balthazar!
24. Cush- the son of Ham and brother of Canaan (Genesis 10:6)
25. Dan- the fourth son of Jacob (Genesis 30:1–6)
26. Daniel- a youth who was taken into the household of Nebuchadnezzar, received guidance and visions from God, and was given divine protection when thrown into the lions’ den!
27. David- the second king of Israel and Judah, succeeding Saul: was the writer of many Psalms.
28. Delilah- Samson’s Philistine mistress, who deprived him of his strength by cutting off his hair (Judges 16:4–22)
29. Dinah- the daughter of Jacob and Leah (Genesis 30:21; 34)
30. Dives- a rich man in the parable in Luke 16:19–31
31. Elijah- a Hebrew prophet of the 9th century bc, who was persecuted for denouncing Ahab and Jezebel. (I Kings 17–21: 21; II Kings 1–2:18) Went to Heaven in a chariot of fire!
32. Elishaa- Hebrew prophet of the 9th century bc: successor of Elijah (II Kings 3–9).
33. Enoch- walked with God and God took him to Heaven (Genesis 5)
34. Enos- a son of Seth (Genesis 4:26; 5:6)
35. Ephraim- the younger son of Joseph, who received the principal blessing of his grandfather Jacob (Genesis 48:8–22)
36. Esau- son of Isaac and Rebecca and twin brother of Jacob, to whom he sold his birthright (Genesis 25)
37. Eve- the first woman; mother of the human race, fashioned by God from the rib of Adam (Genesis 2:18-25)
38. Esther- saved the Jewish exiles!
39. Ezekiel- the book containing his oracles, which describe the downfall of Judah and Jerusalem and their subsequent restoration.
40. Ezra- Wrote the Book of the Bible named Ezra!
41. Gabriel- one of the archangels, the messenger of good news (Daniel 8:16–26; Luke 1:11–20, 26–38).
42. Gad- Jacob’s sixth son, whose mother was Zilpah, Leah’s maid!
43. Gideon- a Judge of Israel famous for his victory with only 300 men!
44. Gilead- a grandson of Manasseh; ancestor of the Cileadites (Numbers 26: 29–30)
45. Gog and Magog- a hostile prince and the land {Russia} from which he comes to attack Israel (Ezekiel 38)
46. Goliath- a Philistine giant from Gath who terrorized the Hebrews until he was killed by David with a stone from his sling (I Samuel 17).
47. Good Samaritana- a figure in one of Christ’s parables (Luke 10:30–37) who is an example of compassion towards those in distress!
48. Habakkuk- Wrote the Book of Habakkuk!
49. Hagar- an Egyptian maid of Sarah, who bore Ishmael to Abraham!
50. Haggai- wrote a Book of the Bible named Haggai!
51. Ham- Noah’s second son: Gen. 6:10
52. Hannah-mthe woman who gave birth to Samuel (I Samuel 1–2)
53. Herod- wanted to kill Jesus as a baby! Matthew 2
54. Hezekiah- a king of Judah ?715–?687 bc, noted for his religious reforms (II Kings 18–19)
55. Hosea- Old Testament prophet who married a whore {Israel}, God was teaching how He felt about Israel being lost and disobedient!
56. Isaac- an Old Testament patriarch, the son of Abraham and Sarah! Father of Jacob and Esau (Genesis 17; 21–27)
57. Isaiah- Great prophet of God who wrote the Book of Isaiah!
58. Ishmael- the son of Abraham and Hagar, Sarah’s handmaid: the ancestor of 12 Arabian tribes (Genesis 21:8–21; 25:12–18)
59. Issachar- the fifth son of Jacob by his wife Leah (Genesis 30:17–18)
60. Jacob- the son of Isaac, twin brother of Esau, and father of the twelve patriarchs of Israel!
61. James- known as James the Less. one of the twelve apostles, son of Alphaeus (Matthew 10:3).
62. Japheth- the second son of Noah, traditionally regarded as the ancestor of a number of non-Semitic nations (Genesis 10:1–5)
63. Jehoshaphat- the king of Judah (?873–?849 bc) (I Kings 22:41–50)
64. Jehu- the king of Israel (?842–?815 bc); the slayer of Jezebel (II Kings 9:11–30).
65. Jeremiah- a major prophet of Judah from about 626 to 587 bc
66. Jesse- the father of David (I Samuel 16)
67. JESUS CHRIST- The Living Son of God, Our God’s Plan of Salvation! Praise God!
68. Jethro- a Midianite priest, the father-in-law of Moses (Exodus 3:1; 4:18)
69. Jezebel- the wife of Ahab, king of Israel: she fostered the worship of Baal and tried to destroy the prophets of Israel (I Kings 18:4–13); she was killed by Jehu (II Kings 9:29–37) She was EVIL!
70. Joab- the successful commander of King David’s forces and the slayer of Abner and Absalom (II Samuel 2:18–23; 3:24–27; 18:14–15)
71. Job- A great man of God who withstood Satans evil and DID NOT curse God!
72. Joel- a prophet of God who wrote the Book of Joel!
73. John- The Apostle who wrote John, 1-2-3 John, Revelation, He took care of Jesus’ Mother Mary, was part of the “inner circle” and was the only Apostle who died a natural death!
74. John the Baptist- the forerunner and baptizer of Jesus: he was killed by Herod: Jesus said he was the greatest prophet born of a woman! Matt. 3
75. Jonah- reluctant prophet who ran from God!
76. Jonathan- the son of Saul, and David’s close friend, who was killed in battle (I Samuel 31; II Samuel 1:19–26)
77. Joseph- the eleventh son of Jacob and one of the 12 patriarchs of Israel (Genesis 30:2–24) Saved Israel and forgave his brothers!
78. Joshua- Moses’ successor, who led the Israelites in the conquest of Canaan! He and Caleb were the only two original survivors of the 40 year wanderings!
79. Josiah- died ?609 bc, king of Judah (?640–?609). After the discovery of a book of law (probably Deuteronomy) in the Temple he began a program of religious reform!
80. Judah- the fourth son of Jacob, one of whose descendants was to be the Messiah (Genesis 29:35; 49:8–12)
81. Judas Iscariot- Betrayed Jesus and hanged himself! Luke 22.
82. Jude- The writer of the Book of Jude warning us of false prophets!
83. Laban- the father-in-law of Jacob, father of Leah and Rachel (Genesis 29:16)
84. Lazarus- the brother of Mary and Martha, whom Jesus restored to life (Jn. 11–12)
85. Leah- the first wife of Jacob and sister of Rachel, his second wife (Genesis 29)
86. Levi- the third son of Jacob and Leah and the ancestor of the tribe of Levi (Genesis 29:34)
87. Lot- Abraham’s nephew: he escaped the destruction of Sodom, but his wife was changed into a pillar of salt for looking back as they fled (Genesis 19)
88. Luke- the writer of the Gospel of Luke and Acts
89. Malachi- wrote the last Book of the Old Testament!
90. Manasseh- the elder son of Joseph (Genesis 41:51)
91. Mark- wrote the Gospel of Mark, the shortest of the four Gospels!
92. Martha- sister of Lazarus and Mary, chided by Jesus for being overly concerned with housework while he talked with Mary: Luke 10:40
93. Mary- the sister of Martha and Lazarus (Luke 10:38–42; John 11:1–2)
94. Mary Magdalene- First to see Jesus after His Resurrection! A loyal follower of Jesus. Jesus dismissed seven demons from her! Luke 8:2
95. Matthew- wrote the first Gospel and was an original Apostle!
96. Matthias- one of the Apostles, chosen by lot to replace Judas Iscariot: Acts 1:26.
97. Melchior- (in Christian tradition) one of the Magi, the others being Balthazar and Caspar.
98. Melchizedek- the priest-king of Salem who blessed Abraham (Genesis 14:18–19) and was taken as a prototype of Christ’s priesthood (Hebrews 7)
99. Meshach- one of Daniel’s three companions who, together with Shadrach and Abednego, was miraculously saved from destruction in Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace (Daniel 3:12-30)
100. Methuselah- oldest man in the Bible, 969 years old! Genesis 5h
101. Micah- a prophet of God who wrote Micah!
102. Midian- a son of Abraham (Genesis 25:1–2)
103. Miriam- the sister of Moses and Aaron. (Numbers 12:1–15)
104. Mordecai- the cousin of Esther (in the Book of Esther), who saved the Jews from the destruction planned by Haman.
105. Moses- Great man of God, was called by God to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land! God gave Moses the 10 Commandments to give to Israel!
106. Nabonidus- the father of Belshazzar, last king of Babylon before it was captured by Cyrus in 539 bc.
107. Naboth- an inhabitant of Jezreel, murdered by King Ahab at the instigation of his wife Jezebel for refusing to sell his vineyard (I Kings 21)
108. Nahum- a prophet of God who wrote the Book of Nahum!
109. Naomi- the mother-in-law of Ruth (Ruth 1:2)
110. Naphtali- Jacob’s sixth son, whose mother was Rachel’s handmaid Bilhah! (Genesis 30:7–8)
111. Nathan- a prophet at David’s court (II Samuel 7:1–17; 12:1–15)
112. Nathanael- a Galilean who is perhaps to be identified with the apostle Bartholomew (John 1:45–51; 21:1)
113. Nebuchadnezzar- Put the three Jewish boys in the fiery furnace and God saved them! Daniel 3
114. Nehemiah- a prophet of God who wrote Nehemiah!
115. Nicodemus- a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin, who supported Jesus against the other Pharisees (John 8:50–52)
116. Nimrod- Built the Tower of Babel but did not serve God! Genesis 11.
117. Noah- Only man God found who was faithful! He and his family were the only people to survive the Great Flood! Genesis 6-8
118. Obadiah- a prophet of God who wrote the Book of Obadiah!
119. Paul- Paul got saved on the Damasus Road! God called him to be an Apostle! Acts 9.
120. Peter- The leader of the Apostles who was part of the “inner circle”.
121. Philip one of the sons of Herod the Great, who was ruler of part of former Judaea (4 bc–34 ad) (Luke 3:1)
122. Pontius Pilate- Sentenced Jesus to die on the Cross of Calvary!
123. Potiphar- one of Pharaoh’s officers, who bought Joseph as a slave (Genesis 37:36)
124. Queen of Sheba- made a famous visit to King Solomon!!
125. Rachel- the second and best-loved wife of Jacob; mother of Joseph and Benjamin (Genesis 29–35)
126. Rebecca- the sister of Laban, who became the wife of Isaac and the mother of Esau and Jacob (Genesis 24–27)
127. Reuben- the eldest son of Jacob and Leah: one of the 12 patriarchs of Israel (Genesis 29:30)
128. Ruth- a Moabite woman, who left her own people to remain with her mother-in- law Naomi, and became the wife of Boaz; an ancestress of King David
129. Salome- the daughter of Herodias, at whose instigation she beguiled Herod by her seductive dancing into giving her the head of John the Baptist! Matthew 14:6-11
130. Samson- a judge of Israel, who performed herculean feats of strength against the Philistine oppressors until he was betrayed to them by his mistress Delilah (Judges 13–16)
131. Samuel- a prophet, judge and great man of God. Hannah’s son!
132. Sapphira- wife of Ananias, struck dead with her husband for lying: Acts 5:1-10
133. Sarah- the wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac (Genesis 17:15–22)
134. Saul- the first king of Israel (?1020–1000 bc). He led Israel successfully against the Philistines, but was in continual conflict with the high priest Samuel. He became afflicted with madness and died by his own hand; succeeded by David!
135. Seth- Adam’s third son, given by God in place of the murdered Abel (Gen, 4:25).
136. Shadrach- one of Daniel’s three companions, who, together with Meshach and Abednego, was miraculously saved from destruction in Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace (Daniel 3:12–30)
137. Shem- the eldest of Noah’s three sons (Genesis 10:21)
138. Simeon- the second son of Jacob and Leah
139. Simon Magusa- Samaritan magician whose offer of money to learn how to impart the Holy Ghost to others angered Peter: Acts 8:9-24
140. Solomon- Son of David and third King of Israel!
141. Thaddeus- one of the 12 apostles (Matthew 10:3; Mark 3:18), traditionally identified with Jude
142. Thomas- (called Didymus, the Twin) one of the twelve Apostles, who doubted at first the resurrection of Jesus!
143. Uriah- a Hittite officer, who was killed in battle on instructions from David so that he could marry Uriah’s wife Bathsheba (II Samuel 11)
144. Mary, the mother of Christ! Matthew 2
145. Zacharias- John the Baptist’s father, who underwent a temporary period of dumbness for his lack of faith (Luke 1)
146. Zebedee- the father of the apostles James and John (Matthew 4:21)
147. Zebulun- the sixth son whom Leah bore to Jacob: one of the 12 patriarchs of Israel (Genesis 30:20)
148. Zechariah- wrote the Bible Book of Zechariah!
149. Zephaniah- wrote the book containing his oracles, which are chiefly concerned with the approaching judgment by God upon the sinners of Judah.
150. Zilpah- Leah’s maidservant, who bore Gad and Asher to Jacob (Gen,30:9-13}
151. Zipporah- Exodus 2:21,22 says she became Moses wife!
